Hey everyone, it’s Tim here from the shop, and I’ve got a story to tell that really highlights why we do what we do—and why we love it so much.
So, the other day, we get this call, right? The person on the line asks us if we take care of babies. Now, before you jump to any conclusions, they were talking about their car—affectionately referred to as their “baby.” This isn’t uncommon in our line of work. Cars aren’t just machines to many of us; they’re memories on wheels. Whether it reminds you of your first date, those speed-thrill moments, or the countless hours spent working on it with a loved one, every car has its story.
Currently, we’re working on two very special projects that exemplify just that. First up, we have Reba, a stunning 1965 Ford Mustang that belonged to my friend Bengie. He bought it to honor the memories of his dad, with whom he shared a deep bond over cars. Sadly, Bengie passed away before we could start working on Reba, but it’s been an honor to fulfill his wish and keep that memory alive.
Then, there’s a 1985 Porsche 944 S2, a car with a legacy of being Porsche’s most successful sports car until the introduction of later models. With only 8,000 original miles, this car was a well-preserved treasure passed down by an owner to his brother. Our client wanted to restore it to its former glory, and we decided to go all out, upgrading our service to a multi-stage polish with multi-year ceramic protection by G Technic.
These projects are more than just jobs to us. They’re a way to connect with the stories, the people, and the memories that these cars represent. It’s genuinely an honor to be trusted with such meaningful pieces of history.
So yeah, we might get a little sentimental, but can you blame us? We love what we do, and we love the stories we get to be a part of. Thanks for letting us share them with you.
